The Project
The Ricca Merc/Grand Hotel
The Grand Hotel was opened in the early 1920s, became a mercantile store in the 1950s, and shuttered its doors in the 80s. A group of like-minded individuals is now working to restore the building and open it to the public as a performing arts and multi-space event venue.
Our progress
Thanks to local generosity and grants from agencies like the National Parks Service, we’ve been able to complete several restoration projects on the Ricca Merc/Grand Hotel building:
